* * * Employment Opportunity - FINS Intake Officer * * * The 33rd Judicial District Court is advertising for an open position for Families In Need of Service Intake Officer. The FINS Program is a legislatively created juvenile court proceeding that facilitates the establishment of a voluntary family services plan between the family and providers of needed services. The position requires a 25 hour work week to assist families and children in Allen Parish who may be “at risk” or going through difficult times. Mental health issues and substance abuse are often at the root of family difficulties. The FINS Officer will have to work with these challenges. The FINS officer should have a four year college degree in social work, family studies, criminal justice, sociology, psychology or have extensive work experience in these fields. The FINS Officer should have a compassionate and caring heart who wants to help families in crisis and in need of services. The position requires use of computers and having basic administrative and reporting skills. Annual training and continuing education is required.
